Closed for the winter

We are closed for the winter until May 2025. We will announce the reopening date for 2025 on this page in April.

At “Takara Soba,” local buckwheat seeds which has been matured in the cold winter, were grounded in a stone mill to the buckwheat flour, then kneaded and cut in the morning. As we receive an order, the noodles are boiled and rinsed in cold “Taruma natural water,” and served. Please enjoy lush soba noodles with real wasabi from Okuhida.

Because the soba noodles are available in limited quantities, they may be sold out before 13:00 during peak hours. Please be patient when it is crowded.

  • about WASABI

The wasabi we serve at our restaurant is home-grown wasabi from Okuhida. We serve this wasabi with a handmade wasabi grater so that customers can grate it by hand. Since we cannot harvest a large amount of home-grown wasabi, we cut it into small pieces to reduce waste (food loss).

If you grate the served piece, it will be enough as a condiment, but if you would like more, please feel free to ask and we will add more.

If you don’t want wasabi, please let us know when ordering and we will give you a 50 yen discount.
